Welcome to the Annapolis Junior Rowing website

Annapolis Junior Rowing Association, Inc. ("AJR") is the only rowing program in the Annapolis, Maryland area exclusively devoted to youth. It is open to all high school students and draws its membership from local public and private schools. AJR is the successor to Annapolis Junior Crew, which had been affiliated with Annapolis Rowing Club, Annapolis' master rowing club. In December of 2008, AJR became an independent non-profit organization.

Registration for AJR Learn-to-Row Camp is now open! Offered as two one-week sessions, Learn-to-Row Camp is for students entering 8th through 12th grade who are looking for an introduction to the sport of rowing. Go to "Join the Juniors - Future Season" for more information and "Join the Juniors - Forms" for the required forms. For further information, contact Coach Karyn Shackelford at coachkls@comcast.net.
All novice (new) rowers registering for their first season or camp with AJR must complete the Swim Test Verification form included in their registration packet and submit it prior to their first practice or first session of camp. Rowers will not be allowed on the water until a Swim Test Verification is on file.
